RIPLEY, W.Va. – The lead investigator within the trial of a person accused of killing his girlfriend’s 10-month-old child testified that he has little question the person raped and murdered the lady.
The Charleston Gazette-Mail reviews Jackson County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ross Mellinger stated Thursday that Benjamin Taylor had blood on his torso and a moist spot on his pants when officers have been known as to the house in 2016.
The lady testified that she discovered him shirtless together with his pants unbuttoned and leaning over her bare, injured daughter. The toddler died days later.
Mellinger testified that Taylor had been on the lookout for pornography on-line, instructed officers he has “episodes” when he blacks out, and hadn’t seen the blood on the infant.
