The president, Donald Trump, said Monday that he will be responsible for “writing the real book” about his government in response to the prestigious journalist Bob Woodward, very critical of the current president’s management.
“Woodward’s book is a joke. Just another attack on me, in a barrage of attacks, using anonymous, unnamed, discredited sources, “Trump said on his Twitter account.
“Many have already come out to say that the quotes from them, like the book, are fiction. Democrats can not stand to lose. I will write the real book! “
Since the last week, some excerpts of the book, which is titled “Fear: Trump in the White House” (“Fear: Trump in the White House”) and will go on sale tomorrow, have been loaded by the president, reiterated against the journalist, who he described as “scam”
The book portrays a White House “asylum”, subject to the erratic behavior of the president.
In one of the scenes described in the book, shortly after coming to power, Trump asked the Pentagon for a plan to launch a “preventive” military attack on North Korea, while criticizing the high cost of protecting South Korea.
Defense Secretary James Mattis came out “exasperated and alarmed” of a meeting with Trump on that issue, and told his inner circle that the president had “acted like a 10 or 11 year old child,” according to Woodward.
Woodward, whose work published in the Washington Post on the Watergate case contributed to the resignation of President Richard Nixon (1969-1974), explained that he based his book on interviews with eyewitnesses of the White House, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
